Hello, I'm Gerry Johnson, and I've been running London Tours for the past 32 years, based on the fact I lived there for 12 years and worked as a guide for 5 years.
As our name suggests our speciality is show day trips and show weekends to London (without doubt one of the greatest and most exciting Capital cities in the world), but we also now do local show trips, concert trips, UK/continental breaks, and Cruises.
I love London, and I love taking people there; and one of our main aims - as with all the places we go - is to take as much of the hassle out of it as possible.
We are a small independent tour operator serving the Chesterfield and North East Derbyshire area, so we offer a personal service and our customers do not spend forever on the coach before they get anywhere.
I am delighted to say we have built up a huge number of customers in the area, the vast majority of whom come with us time and time again - indeed many of them have become friends - but they are still customers first.
My love of London has overflowed into many other cities; so whether it's Paris, Prague, Florence, Venice, Rome, Barcelona, New York etc etc., I love being there and usually this enthusiasm passes on to our customers.
And wherever we go we have a programme and information available including sightseeing trips, the'must dos', meals etc so that our customers can get the very best out of the places they visit (we also usually have a lot of fun - but its not compulsory!).
We also build plenty of free time into our itineraries so people can relax and do what they wish.
And if anything unfortunate does happen to our customers, we will be there to help.
I accompany nearly all the trips personally to ensure they run smoothly, which is a great motivator to make sure everything is at least as expected. If it's not it'll be me that's in the firing line! I am pleased to say this hardly ever happens; our customers are usually very happy with our arrangements and organisation, and often say it was beyond their expectations. We often spot a problem and resolve it, before the customer is aware of it.
